Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the WORLD website, games, editor and related services (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

• Username, a securely hashed password, and an optional display name and biography.
• A hashed recovery code, if you generate one. The code itself is shown to you once and never stored in readable form.

Content and activity

• Worlds you create, autosave snapshots, shop items, chat messages and creature conversations you initiate.
• Gameplay records: quest progress, materials, crops, companions, saved positions, visits, TEST-credit balance, ledger entries and purchases.

Wallet information

• If you choose to link a Solana wallet, its public address and the time of verification. Public balances are read from the Solana network on request.

Technical information

• Error reports generated by the application (error message and page path) to help us fix problems, and standard request logs maintained by our hosting providers.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, real names, postal addresses, payment-card details, precise location or private wallet keys. We will never ask for your seed phrase.

4. How we use information

• To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-ins.
• To save, display and validate worlds, gameplay and purchases.
• To enable multiplayer presence, chat and leaderboards.
• To generate AI creature replies to messages you send.
• To detect abuse, enforce rate limits and the Terms, and maintain reliability.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Information visible to others

Your username, display name, biography, public worlds, badges and leaderboard standings are public. Chat messages are visible to players who can view the world. Linked wallet addresses are not displayed publicly by WORLD, although blockchain addresses are inherently public on the Solana network.

6. Service providers and sharing

We use trusted providers to operate the Service, including application hosting, database and authentication, an AI model gateway (which receives the text of creature conversations you initiate) and a Solana RPC provider (which receives public addresses for balance and token lookups). These providers process information only on our behalf. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

7. Local storage on your device

We store your sign-in session and preferences, such as music mute, in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Data retention

Account and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. Autosave snapshots are limited to the ten most recent per world. Error reports are deleted after 14 days. Live player positions are not stored.

9. Security

Data is protected by row-level access rules, server-side validation, hashed passwords and recovery codes, and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

You may view and edit your profile, delete your worlds and unlink your wallet at any time. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the official channels listed on the website.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied to such transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
